Brief Description of Work
Essentially my role involves combining art practice, specialising in music therapeutic principles and particular human conditions or social issues, as well as education to work with various groups or settings across the lifespan e.g. ASD, PMLD, dementia, sensory impairment, mental health, homelessness and addiction.
By creating a safe space and building a relationship of trust with participants, I facilitate freedom of creative expression for education, health and wellbeing.
Able to teach
Singing activities, songwriting, receptive music activities including reminiscence and life review, musical autobiography, multi-sensory storytelling, puppetry, musical games, composing soundscape from the environment with natural and electronic instruments.
Care homes, primary schools, pre-school children in the community, women and children in refuge, inclusive theatre, British Lung Foundation’s Singing for Lung Health sessions.
